Blue Chip’s reproductive division, Blue Chip Bloodstock, is best known in the Sport Horse world as co-owner of Olympic and International Jumper Superstar, “Sapphire”, with top rider McLain Ward and International Jumper Champion, “Goldika 559”, and up and coming star and BWP Approved stallion, “Domino” as well as several other top jumpers in conjunction with rider McLain Ward. Blue Chip is currently investing in preeminent Sport Horse bloodlines including embryo transfers on Sapphire and Goldika 559 to produce and develop future sport horse champions.
Blue Chip Farms has been a top breeder of Standardbreds since 1969 producing 5 World Champions and over 1,000 Stakes Winners. Blue Chip farm bred and raised horses have won in excess of $71 million in purse money. In 2010, Blue Chip bred horses garnered the highest earnings per starter in the New York Racing program.
The Farm is centrally located in the tri-state region in Wallkill, NY only 50 miles north of Manhattan. The farm is comprised of over 700 acres of rolling hills has six barns with 122 stalls and 18 sheds. The sheds are serviced by fields ranging in size from 18-25 acres each. Currently, BCF has 75 clients that utilize the farm and its services for boarding, foaling and breeding including several sport horse owners.
BCF recognizes the importance for young sport horses to receive plenty of turnout, socialization with others their age and the need for professional staff to properly raise and manage their first few years of life.
