Juvenile Care
Blue Chip Farms understands how critical the early years are in shaping a young horse’s future. Ample turnout, age-appropriate socialization, and attentive management form the foundation of our young horse program.

Weanlings and yearlings are raised in shed groups, separated by age and sex, and organized into groups of 12–15 depending on field size—each pasture spanning a minimum of 20 acres. These horses enjoy 24-hour turnout with access to spacious, straw-bedded run-in sheds for shelter and feeding.

Our staff closely monitors every horse’s health, weight, and physical development to ensure each individual thrives. High-quality hay and grain are provided daily, and all fields are nutrient-tested annually. For owners who are unable to visit regularly, Blue Chip’s team provides consistent physical updates to keep them connected to their young horses’ progress.
