Yearling Prep

Blue Chip Farms consistently boasts some of the highest yearling prices at the sales each year. It can be confidently said that is due to Blue Chip's strong yearling prep program. The program includes: meticulous nutrition management, extensive handling, controlled exercise, and deliberate socialization.

Yearlings alternate between paddock turnout and time in the walkers. Horses are handled every single day which involves things like: grooming, clipping, picking up feet and shoeing, bathing, blanketing, and practice standing for inspection.
